Some hints for Mother’s Day

First rule, order early!  Mother’s Day is the single busiest week in the retail flower industry so the earlier you order the more options you will have and the more likely you are to get your Mom a particular flower and/or color request. Don’t leave it to the last minute, if you do, both you and Mom may be disappointed.

The colour traditionally associated with Mother’s Day flowers is pink, other favorites over the years have been yellow, lavender, or peach  Some colours that are gaining popularity and are sure to WOW Mom this Mother’s Day include:

  • Monochromatic (flowers in the same color)
  • Blush pink, antique ivory and cream tones
  • Hot pink and berry tones combined with shades of red

The leading edge trends emerging this year for Mother’s day are bold, vibrant and exciting color combinations, including:

  • Hot pink and orange
  • Citron and purple
  • Shades of orange hues – tangerine to peach
  • Purple accented with bright green
  • Purple and lime green and magenta
  • Pink, coral and turquoise together

Surprise Mom!
Mom will love getting flowers delivered to her work, not only will you be the hero to her, but to her co-workers as well as they tell her what a great son or daughter she has.  Mom will be just as thrilled by the thought you put into the surprise as. she will be by the flowers themselves. Send flowers to arrive the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday before Mother’s Day. Mom will enjoy her flowers at work and then bring them home to enjoy over the weekend.

Don’t forget all the other Mom’s in your life!
Along with sending flowers to your own mom thinks about doing the same for your wife, mother-in-law, aunt’s , sisters, and other relatives and friends —  after all this is Mother’s Day.
