The most popular flowers for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is almost upon us! Flowers are the most popular gift for mothers, but do you know which flowers are the most purchased for Mother’s Day?

Here’s a list of the top ten:

1. Carnations – specifically white carnations

2. Roses – all sizes and colors are popular

3. Mixed bouquets – get your florist to design one with their freshest flowers!

4. Tulips – who doesn’t love tulips?

5. Irises – a favourite spring flower

6. Daffodils – yet another favourite spring flower.  Maybe it has something to do with Mother’s Day being in spring time?

7. Chrysanthemums – cut flower bouquets and potted mums are equally popular.

8. Lilies – so many types too choose from.

9. Potted Plants – the gift that keeps on giving!

10. Freesia – a pretty and delicate flower that belongs to the lily family
