Update – A Field of Dreams is alive and kicking in the UK

Harvesting WildflowersNow that the summer season is over, the Wildflower “Field of Dreams” is being harvested for next years planting.

About 150 volunteers, nicknamed the happy harvesters, attended the Field of Dreams flower seed harvest.

The wild flower meadow – See the original post here – was still showing a wonderful display of many species of flowers, but the time had arrived to harvest the seed that was set before the late autumn weather arrived. Enough seed was collected to enhance next year’s Field of Dreams which is being planned now.

The Field of Dreams was a popular attraction & many of this year’s 4,000 visitors have already booked for next year and many more who missed seeing the flowers have contacted Barcroft Hall to secure a visit for 2012.
