Flowers & Movies: Movies with Flower Titles


Flowers are everywhere; in fashion, art, and music. Flowers are fascinating. They can be beautiful and mysterious. Sometimes they are shy. They might even be deadly. Nonetheless, flowers are a source of inspiration for designers, artists and filmmakers alike. Today’s blog post will feature a list of movies with flowers in the title. How  many of these have you seen?

Driving Miss Daisy  (1989)
A heartwarming story of the 25 year relationship between a driver (Morgan Freeman) and his wealthy Jewish passenger, “Miss Daisy” (Jessica Tandy).

The War of The Roses (1989)
Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner star as married couples going through a vicious divorce in this Golden Globe-nominated comedy.

Steel Magnolia (1989)
A movie about a group of close-knit friends experiencing the ups and downs of life in Louisiana, starring Sally Field, Dolly Parton, Shiley MacLaine, Daryl Hannah and Julia Roberts.

Magnolia (1999)
This Oscar-nominated movie starring Tom Cruise, Julianne Moore and John C. Reilly weaves a tale of intertwined lives.

Broken Flowers (2005)
Bill Murray is a father who travels across America in search of his estranged son in this critically-acclaimed comedy-drama.

White Oleander (2002)
A movie adaptation of the bestselling novel, White Oleander is a coming-of-age story about a young girl and her relationship with her inprisoned mother (Michelle Pfeiffer).

The Black Dahlia (2006)
This Oscar-nominated crime thriller stars Aaron Eckhart, and Josh Hartnett as two cops trying to find answers in the wake of a gruesome murder.
