A Wardrobe Fit For a Garden Fairy!

Flowers are beautiful and inspiring. Artists, designers and other creative types have been using flowers as source of inspiration. Some have even taken up using fresh flowers in their creations; there have been appearances on the fashion runway as haute couture and as art in a botanical garden!

Tasmanian artist Sandra Alcorn, is yet another artist who was inspired by the flowers in her garden. Through her fashionable flower creations, she is able to combine her two passions in life: fashion design and flowers. She uses flower petals and greenery from her own garden to create stunning, one-of-a-kind dresses that any girl would love. But what sets her apart from other designers is that she isn’t designing her clothes for humans. Instead, she envisions the clothes to fit a garden fairy. In fact, she calls her whimiscal collection, “Garden Fairy’s Wardrobe.”

Here are some of my favourite pieces from her collection:

You can see more of her work on her blog “Petal & Pins.” She also sells her creations as cards. You can buy them here at her Etsy store.
