Amazing Flower Contructions by Anne Ten Donkelaar

Know what I love more than flowers? Art! Much like flowers, art adds beauty and life to our world. I especially enjoy artwork that is inspired by flowers, like the artwork by Dutch artist Anne Ten Donkelaar.” Inspired by her love of flowers, her whimsical “Flower Constructions” series explores the complexity and the beauty of nature, while challenging viewers to use their imaginations.

Anne used a combination of pressed flowers and leaves, illustrations and magazine cut outs to create these stunningly detailed floral collages. The attention to detail is just amazing! The flowers are so intricate and impressively realistic! Each piece was meticulously pinned to create a 3-dimensional effect. Anne wanted the flowers to appear floating  so “you can walk through them” kind of like Alice did in Wonderland and create your own stories along the way.
