This is an oldie, but a goodie. In 2009, inspired by her autistic son who loves plants, Cuban artist, Elsa Mora created a series of quirky, whimsical characters using flower petals, leaves and branches from her garden. Each of the characters is unique and has its own personality. Elsa hopes that her images will bring joy and smiles! And how can anyone not smile when they see these fun floral figures?
The collection of photographs was eventually made into a book called “Blossom Buddies,” which can be purchased from Amazon. Enjoy some of these images from her book.
Perhaps these Blossom Buddies will inspire you to play outside and have fun! Elsa was playing with her son, Diego when she had the idea to make these flower people. Go ahead, act like a kid! You never know what might happen!
