Panagbenga Flower Festival held in Baguio City, Philippines has some of the most amazing & creative floral floats this bloom blogger has ever seen! Which really shouldn’t be much of a surprise considering Panagbenga means “season of blooming”. This month long festival is held every February in the capitol summer city. On the day of the Grand Float Parade, the streets are lined with people waiting to view the spectacular flower float creations.
This years 1st place winner was International Pharmaceuticals Inc, they won P200,000 with their entry called ancient Egyptions and the Sto. Nino.
Along with it’s ancient Egyption motif a Sto. Nino statue would emerge from the top of a large golden pyramid within a puff of smoke and then descend back inside.
2nd place went to: Department of Agriculture, Cordillera Region
This beauty contained a myraid of blooms in the shade of fairies and their sparkling pastels. The prize won? P175,000. Personally, this one is my favourite!
3rd place was won by: Manila North Luzon Tollways Corp.
Some of you may have noticed the floral likeness of the plants from Plants vs. Zombies game, of course there was a little twist on the theme which was Plants vs. Pollution, which won them P150,000.
Of course there was much more to see:
